Acorn Properties (AP) is a directly held and managed investment of ABI. AP is a Private Equity commercial and residential property real estate investor focused on acquisitions across South Africa.

The group has acquired a gross lettable area in excess of 60,000 m² of commercial, industrial and residential real estate throughout South Africa.

Target acquisitions include:

  • Commercial office and industrial properties
  • Fixed income properties

ABI holds a majority stake in CHEMBLEND and has a representative on the Board of Directors who takes an active interest in the strategic direction of the business.

CHEMBLEND specialized in the formulation and blending of institutional chemicals which are tailored to client specifications. Their diligent, experienced staff together with state of the art facilities ensure product consistency in addition to on-time delivery.

ABI holds a minority stake in Engeli Treasury Solutions (ETS) and has a representative on the Board of Directors who takes an active interest in the strategic direction of the business.

ETS provides their clients with an affordable and reliable treasury solution to corporate clients to manage their Foreign Exchange Risk. ETS provides clients with the system and guided expertise to manage their own treasury solution, which has proven to reduce the cost to the client given it eliminates the requirement for an expensive broker. CES has a proven track record and is staffed and managed by highly competent individuals. Many of the staff have post-graduate qualifications including PhD degrees in the biological, social and environmental fields.
